Cousins

Written by admin on July 10th, 2010

My kids are very close to their cousins so it was really fun to do this session.  These children belong to 4 sisters, 2 who live here and 2 who don’t so it was great to get them all together.

Here are the lone boys of the group who also happen to be brothers…Marcus and Kyler…

blog1

And sisters Trinity and Jordan…

blog2

And another set of sisters, Payje, Laramey, and Jersie…

blog5

What a cute idea…loved it!

blog7

And one more of Jordan…what a pretty girl…

blog4

Thought this might make a fun storyboard…

blog8

What makes these pictures extra special is that they were taken at these kids’ great grandmother’s house.  Too cool!  I enjoyed my session with you guys!

blog8

Jessica it was so nice to meet your family….and you are all  in my thoughts and prayers after the recent loss of your father.  I cannot imagine what you going through.   I hope you can find some comfort in the memories you have with your dad.

He was so happy during our time together….what a dream!

blog7

He just wanted to eat the old metal tub but I actually love this shot…all babies go through putting everything in their mouths…and this is a good reminder of that!

Ben and Shawna

Written by admin on July 3rd, 2010

My good friend Ben got married Memorial Day weekend in Ord, NE.  It was REALLY windy and REALLY  hot!  Please bear with me while I post quite a few from their special day…There are 15 here out of over 400 that I edited!  No wonder my backside hurts!

blog4

I decided to use the stain glass in the church for the dress shot…Shawna didn’t even know I took these…I did them before she arrived…

blog11

This church had a balcony and I wanted to use it more than just for me to take pictures during the ceremony…

blog3

Very cool windows…

blog12

This is a cute shot of Shawna and her best girls!

blog5

Used another window for the shot of the rings…

blog13

They are so happy together and you can’t help but smile when you’re around them…well that and Ben is a total goof.  They are both teachers which is how I met Ben in the first place and teachers are very near and dear to my heart since everyone in my family is one…my mom, my dad, and my sister…

blog2

I never put a shot of the whole group on my blog…but this is quite a big group so I am proud to get them all in a photo and all smiling!

blog14

Another beautiful window…

blog10

I love when the minister turns the couple around for the kiss!  Makes for a much nicer photo!

blog6

You’re in the club Ben!

blog15

The wind had calmed down some by the time the ceremony was over so we did get outside for a few…

blog7

This is my absolute favorite of the day…this one would make a really cool canvas!

blog9

Shawna’s dad was pretty serious during the family photographs before the wedding but he was all smiles when dancing with his daughter…

blog1

Aren’t they so cute…

blog8

Congratulations Ben and Shawna!  I wish you nothing but happiness in your new life together.  And you must be good friends because this is a record for me to get wedding photographs edited in just barely over a month!   Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Crazy Schedule!

Written by admin on June 30th, 2010

I wanted to get it out there that I am full and not taking any more appointments until September.  I have already taken on way more than I should have so I have to draw the line!  Once September gets here I will be available one Saturday a month since I work full time in the school system during the school year and I just have to stick to that this year (I think I can…I think I can…).  I hope to get those dates out soon so everyone can plan.  This does not apply to babies that are arriving in August…I will still get you in I promise!  The September date I have open is Saturday the 11th.  That one is pretty set.  In October I am planning on the 9th at this point but that may change.  I will be having mini-sessions in October for Christmas cards, etc.  and I’m thinking I will probably do the 9th and 10th to get everyone in.  If you can’t find a time to schedule a whole session, mini-sessions are a great way to update a family pictures and put on your Christmas cards.  November 6th will most likely be my November date.  This will be the last possible date to schedule a session to ensure having them back before Christmas.  I apologize for my limited availability during the school year but I can’t continue to juggle so many things all the time.  I’m going to go crazy…or quite possibly I already have…and I’m about to make my family crazy in the process!!  If you have already contacted me about a date and we just haven’t gotten something set up yet…I will make room for you before September.  And if you are having a baby this fall and have your heart set on photographing that miraculous time, I will work with you on that…it may have to be scheuduled on an evening during the week but I don’t want to exclude the newborns because of my one day a month schedule.   The same applies to babies on my Baby Plan.  Thank you for your understanding!

Baby Kendall

Written by admin on June 29th, 2010

What a sweet sweet baby girl…

blog2

This is one is definitely my favorite of the session…

blog5

Kendall shares the same birthday as my Isabelle…so she is extra special!

blog4

She was pretty fussy for the first part of our session but we were eventually able to get her to relax and take some great photographs!

blog3

So peaceful…

blog1

This is a 4 generation picture of Marsha and her grandparents and her mother…I wish I had grandparents living to take a picture like this…

blog6

And a kiss from her Daddy…he is so proud of his little girl…

blog7

She has a hint of red hair…I wonder if it will stay…

blog8

Congratulations Luke and Marsha on your precious little girl.   Wonderful things come to those who wait!

Campbell

Written by admin on June 29th, 2010

Sweet Campbell is 8 months old!  I’ve taken his newborn and 4 month shots and he just keeps getting cuter…and I absolutely adore kids with red hair!  Love it!

blog4

I think this background color makes his red hair pop!

blog7

Kids love to have their fingers in their mouth at this age…

blog3

A boy and his John Deere….

blog6

He didn’t want to stay in one place which is so typical of kiddos at this age…so we got out the blocks.  He enjoyed them…

blog2

So much he had to taste them all…this one just makes me laugh every time I look at it…

blog8

These shots are always among my favorites…

blog5

And a storyboard to share…

blog1

Thank you so much Jeff and Julie for bringing your little man back to see me again!  I can’t wait until next time!

Farm Family

Written by admin on June 28th, 2010

I had so much fun at this session at a farm near Lodgepole.  I’ve known this family for a really long time and it was fun to take pictures at their own farm…so they have so much more meaning…

blog7

I absolutely love the barn…wish I had one in my backyard!  Here are the siblings…

blog1

And Matt’s beautiful family…some pictures from their session last summer are still some of my favorites!

blog5

Kyle has such a great looking family too!

blog4

This family did a fantastic job of “coordinating” their clothing…

blog3

Here are the boys of the family on the tractor which has been such a big part of their lives…

blog2

I love this shot….because I just love that barn!   I need one!

blog8

And just one more to share of Donald and Coreen…they look so happy!

blog6

Thank you all for a wonderful session…and for being patient with me while I try to get back on track!

Cora and Grady

Written by admin on June 18th, 2010

I love these kids!  I have taken their pictures several times and I love every session with them!

blog4

Cora is such a beauty…and she completely cracks me up…what a kid…

blog1

18  months is such a fun age…

blog3

This is one of my favorites…

blog2

Grady’s mom really wanted a standing picture which is easier said than done at this age.  Grady wasn’t into standing still but we got some!

blog6

And one more of Cora…I could photograph her every day…

blog5

Thank you Ed and DeAnna for being so patient with me as I muttled through this week.  I love that you are my clients and part of my photography family and I already look forward to the next time!

Grandma Esther

Written by admin on June 16th, 2010

My husband’s grandmother passed away last Saturday and we have been spending all of our time with family this week.  I wanted to post a few pictures in memory of Grandma Esther.  We were lucky to have had her in our lives for as long as we did…we love you Grandma.

blog2

I love this picture of Grandma reading to Izzie when she was younger.  It is a picture we will forever cherish.

blog1

I am very behind on editing and ordering but I will do my best to get back on track.  Thank you to everyone for your patience during our time of loss.
