South Platte Volleyball

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

I love taking these volleyball pictures every year because the girls always want to do something different!  This year they used an aiplane at the McClung residence and I love they way they turned out.  I designed a team poster for them and I really like the way it turned out…

Delaney

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010

I just got back from the PPN (Professional Photographer’s of Nebraska) Fall Conference and it was so good!  I learned a lot and I came home with new ideas and lots of things I want to try.  I did learn some things about workflow that I am going to put into practice.  I have to make some changes and simplify some things or I’m going to go crazy…literally.  I have so many sessions to edit right now, the tunnel is very dark…no light in sight.  But I hope to start to make things a little easier and quicker so I don’t have to be up at 2:30 am posting things.  Geesh.

This is Delaney…she was here for her 6 month pictures and I don’t think I got one smile out of her the whole time.  She had an ear infection at the time and wasn’t feeling well but she wasn’t impressed in the least.  This time was a different story…

I love the bright colors in her outfit…

5blog

Her Mommy is so organized…already has a Christmas dress for pictures…I’m lucky if I get my kids’ Christmas outfits ordered in time to be here by Christmas Eve…

7blog

This is the outfit her Daddy picked out…

6blog

Delaney loves her horse…I think they are good friends.

2blog

She didn’t want much to do with sitting on her horse but sitting right in front of him was just fine with her.

3blog

Thanks guys for coming back again!  I’m so glad we got some smiles out of her this time…although it will make it harder for you to pick!

These kids were so fun!

After a few studio shots we moved outside and the weather was great!

blog4a

Here is Anna…such a cute smile.  She was so cooperative and helpful during the session…

blog1a

I absolutely fell in love with Drew’s freckles!

blog5a

And Abby has some spunk so I like the mood of this shot.  I am always ecstatic when I get a shot of Isabelle when she looks so innocent…

blog6a

It was nice to meet you Mike and Becky.  Thank you for coming to Chappell and I hope to see you again soon!

McKenna

Her fun side is about to come out…

blog4

What a great shot of her and her puppy!  If only treats worked as well on 1 years olds as they do on dogs!

blog3

And this is what I love about her…

blog6

Thank you Wendy for bringing McKenna back again this year.  She is a blast!

Peyton, Chesney and Ridglyn

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

We had a beautiful morning for our session together…which was a huge change from our session last fall…it was ready to snow last year and really cold…which was probably why we had such a hard time getting smiles out of Ridglyn.  But not this year…she was full of smiles!

blog2

So cute…

blog1

Peyton is so grown up…always cooperating and always smiling…

blog5

Chesney is the funny man of the group.  He is always smiling and goofing around…so much fun!

blog4

And sweet little Ridglyn…she just gets cuter every time I see her…

blog3

The whole family got pictures this year….as long as we were done by kickoff of the Husker game!

blog7

I love this one…

blog6

Thank you Randy and Jennifer.  I enjoyed your children so much and look forward to the next time!

SENIOR PROOF BOOKS

Friday, September 17th, 2010

Since I take so many more pictures in a senior session and there are so many to choose from some people are finding it easier to pick with a proof book.  If you seniors out there would like a proof book to make the ordering process easier, I wanted to let everyone know how you can get one.  If you request one, I will get one to you.  Then if you have over a $400 order you may have the proof book for free.  If you have an order less tahn $400 you may purchase your proof book for $25.  If you do not wish to purchase it you may return it to me and I will use them as studio samples.   Thanks!

A Daddy and his baby girl will melt your heart…

blog8

This is one of my very favorites!

And of course we had to get some in her Husker gear!  You can’t tell her Mommy and Daddy are Husker fans at all…with her name being Devani.  I LOVE her name!

blog5

Thank you Dale and Angala for putting your trust in me to capture these very tender newborn moments!  She is sure a sweetie!

Amber

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

Amber came for her senior pictures from the Kearney area and I had the best time with her and her mom, sister and grandma.  It was a real Girl’s Day Out!

blog2

She is adorable…

blog6

Found this new spot…and I love it…funny how you can drive by something every single day and not realize it would be a great photography location until one day it just hits you!

blog8

Love the way this tree crosses in the background…I’m sure it fell that way just for us…to create a more interesting location!

blog4

Amber has a very good serious look…

blog7

One more prom dress pic…just because I love the light in this one!

blog5

I really love her storyboard!

blog1

Thank you Amber for trusting me enough to drive all the way here for your senior pictures!  I had a great time with you!

Christmas Mini-Sessions

Monday, September 13th, 2010

I will be having Christmas Mini-Sessions on November 6th and 7th this year.  Email me now to reserve your spot.  I am pretty much booked until then so if you want Christmas cards this year get on my list!  This will be the last date to have a session to ensure cards will be back to send out before Christmas.  Thanks!

Justin

It has been so much fun photographing all the seniors I have had this year…it’s been a great time!  This is Justin…

blog3

Justin is from my hometown of Lodgepole and I will always have a soft spot for the Lodgepole kids…

blog7

He also happens to be my sister’s nephew and she thinks the world of him!

blog1

We took a lot of these at a farmstead that has been in Justin’s family…I love when I can go to different locations and make the photographs unique to each kid…

blog5

Justin’s mom talked him into going shirtless for some pictures…and once we got started we couldn’t quit…he looks like a clothing ad of some sort here…

blog2

Plus I absolutely LOVE this spot we found in Lodgepole…

blog6

And more shirtless pics…sorry Justin…I promised I would only post one but I couldn’t help myself…

blog4

And here is Justin’s storyboard…I love that he loves basketball so much…it was my favorite too!

blog8

Thank you so much Justin!  I had a great time with you during your session!  Thanks for being so patient while I dig out of giant hole I have dug for myself…and good luck with your senior year.  I look forward to watching you during basketball season this year.
