Nick

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

Nick has a very individual style and it was really fun photographing something different.  He is really into martial arts and I’m just going to start this post with my favorite shot…

The water was like glass and looked great!

blog7

I was glad to be able to get a good close-up shot of this tattoo…

blog8

I don’t think I have ever done a letter jacket shot…

blog1

Nick wanted some “mafia” shots as well…

blog5

And had a couple of different hats…

blog3

He also hopes to one day work for the FBI…he would fit in for sure!  All he needed in this shot was a headphone coming out of his jacket!

blog2

And finally the storyboard…

blog9

It was nice to meet you Nick and you too Tammy!  Good luck with everything and I really hope you get into the FBI someday!

Hannah

Hannah came from the Kearney area for her senior pictures…

blog1

This session was a challenge in a way…not because Hannah isn’t photogenic or anything but because she didn’t want anything country, old or anything outdoors.  Since that is mainly what I photograph and I’m very  much a country girl…it was a challenge to come up with a variety of shots while staying in my studio.

blog2

The part that wasn’t a challenge was guessing what she likes and doesn’t like.  She is very open about sharing that which made things easier on me…

blog3

I really like the way the khaki background accentuates her beautiful blond hair…

blog5

Hannah liked the plain colored backgrounds so we incorporated the blue into her pictures as well…

blog4

I love this fun shot…and this background is one of my favorites!

blog6

I did talk her into a few outside…

blog7

Thank you Lisa and Hannah for driving all the way here and putting your confidence in me to deliver just what you want out of your senior photos.  Good luck with your senior year!

Allison, Kendra, Reagan and Daniel

I have taken pictures of these kiddos several times and I just love them.  The older 2 girls are always so excited to see me and have their picture taken…such wonderful subjects!

blog5

This is Reagan…she has such pretty eyes…

blog2

And how cute is this?  Love the hair!

blog3

What a cool sister shot…

blog4

It was obvious to us the whole time we were taking pictures that it was going to storm so we were trying to get as many in as we could before we got wet.  We had Daniel in this bucket when it started to lightning so that was the end of bucket for sure!

blog6

Another sweet sister picture…

We tried to finish our session inside but before we even got the baseball shots taken the electricity went out.  We had Carrie’s 4 kids along with my 2 in the basement at the time and when the lights went out it was pitch black.  We had crying babies and freaking out little girls…but my husband came to the rescue with a lantern so we could at least find our way back up the stairs.  Good thing Carrie is a go-with-the-flow kind of person or she may never come back after that!  I’m glad they  made it back to Sidney okay…the storm was pretty intense that night.  Daniel is the baby on my website laying in the baseball glove so we are going to do a series of pictures with the same glove and do a storyboard at the end.  I can’t wait…it will be adorable!

Thanks Carrie for braving the storm with me.  Hope the shots we got were worth it!
