So after I did the butterfly on one of Delaney’s prints, I was inpired to do some more. These could be really cool canvases, note cards, stationary, etc.

Little Delaney has been sick with ear infections and she might not have been feeling the best yet but we were patient and we did get a few smiles out of her…

Here she is with her Mommy and Daddy…love the pink! It really stands out well…

One more family picture when Delaney is decked out her in her cowgirl outfit…

I think this is her attempt at ignorning me but she looks so sweet…

This is my favorite of the session…

Delaney’s Mommy loves butterflies and wanted me to figure out a way to integrate some butterflies into her pictures…this is one of the things I came up with. This would look awesome in a canvas…

I’m so glad I got a chance to meet Delaney and next time I hope she is feeling a little better!
Wyatt’s session was a lot of fun…little boys this age are not usually too psyched about having pictures taken but I think he had a good time…

This smile is genuine for sure…

Love his baseball cap shots…even if he is a Yankees fan!

I grew up a Braves fan so Yankees were a dirty word at our house…

And I love the pictures we took with his pretty mom…

I think I need some pictures like this with my kids…maybe that will be my Mother’s Day present to myself…

And I wanted to share his fun storyboard…

Thank you Jennifer and Wyatt! Hope to see you again soon!
I traveled to Ord, NE to take these baby pics. I have to say I did not like having to haul all my equipment but it was really nice for Paige and her Mommy and Daddy because they didn’t have to leave their house. Naturally it would be more comfortable in your own home…hmmm my wheels are turning.

This is the first time I’ve used this bucket and this blue hat…LOVE IT!

There is a little shop in Ord that sells things like these name blocks so it is always a treat to get to go check out Deb’s new things…I always come home with something!!

I really love this shot…I have so many favorites from this session though…

Here’s another favorite…a Daddy and his baby girl just melts my heart.

And here is Paige with her beautiful Mommy….

Sometimes when I am editing pictures I am actually kind of jealous that I don’t have pictures like this of my babies…she is so loved and that isn’t hard to tell from this shot…

Baby feet are always a favorite…

And finally one more…she looks so itty bitty in this picture.

Thanks so much Kurt and Ashley. Paige is precious and I am so glad I got to meet her!
Kellen has a new little sister! I’ve taken Kellen’s pictures a few times and now she brought her new little sister.

This is Marin and she is just as sweet as she can be…

She was less than a week old when I got the chance to photograph her….

I’ve wanted to use this prop forever. I have had it forever and I either forget about it or don’t get it worked in. I’m so glad I did this time…I love old stuff (you can probably tell from some of the things I use) and I love the way this turned out.

Love the way Kellen is softly kissing Marin in this one…precious. Maybe they can look back on this someday when they are fighting over clothes (at least that is what my sister and I fought about all the time)

What a beautiful baby and her beautiful Mommy…

And finally the birth announcement I designed. Designing stuff like this is my absolute favorite thing to do!

Thank you Jason and Bethany. You have two very sweet little girls and I am lucky to get to capture these moments for you!
Jackson is back! I took his pictures a couple of years ago and he has just gotten cuter over the past few years…

He has the best skin tone and I love this smile…

This smile is even better because you can tell there is laughter…you can almost hear it by looking at an image…I love that!

And how stinkin’ cute is this? Jackson was all decked out in his cowboy duds and he is pretty darn good with a rope…and he’s only 3!

Too cute…

And this one is definately my favorite…love the sepia tone on this one and love the way he is looking down with his thumbs in his pocket.

Thank you Jessica for making the drive here from Grant. I enjoyed the time I spent with you guys!!
These kids are just about my favorite kids to photograph! August is quite the character and his sister is such a sweetie. It was really hard to choose which pictures to put on my blog…

The first time August came for pictures I got exactly one picture of him. He did not want his picture taken and wasn’t too sure about it all. He reminds me so much of my Ethan…it takes him a while to be okay with new situations. Well by the 2nd session with August he was cracking me up and he did awesome! Now this is the 3rd session and I absolutely love this kid. He makes me laugh a lot!

What a little sweetie pie…she wasn’t too sure this time about pictures so we just played until she got more comfortable and once she did she was a photographer’s dream!

August and Ruby’s mom, Roxy, gives me a lot of feedback about what August says and does at home and I love her stories. I’m going to share a few of them on this blog. After our previous photo session this is what she wrote…”I thought perhaps you’d like to know that Ruby and I had to have a photo shoot in the laundry room tonight. August got a big crayon box and taped it shut so the “film” (crayons) wouldn’t fall out. (How he knows about film, I’m not certain!) He focused through the crayon sharpener hole and we had to sit here, move here, stand here, etc.”Like this, Mom.” . . . he took photos down on his knees and also sat on his “camera case” (a small cooler) that doubled as a chair. (And a handy spot for a few extra Legos!) He was so funny, showing us the pictures on the back of the box and commenting on how our hair looked and how funny Ruby’s face was. What an imagination!”

She wrote this to me after the last photo shoot as well. “…And I’m supposed to tell you “hi” from August.
(Whenever I’m on your site, I’m directed to go to the page about you and August just stares and giggles. I think you have a new friend.)

Ruby LOVES LOVES LOVES her blanket so in between a clothing change I snapped this one. Her mom says this is how they see her a lot of the time…

Isn’t this dress the cutest thing? I asked her where she got it thinking after they left I was going to go online and get one for Izzie. Well…Roxy sewed this dress. She is so talented!! It’s a one of a kind! Izzie’s mom can’t sew…at least nothing that requires precision!

Ruby had the cutest bunny ear jacket too…

And I love the storyboard because I’ve been waiting to use this saying… and I got this email from Roxy after posting these pictures…”Holy moly, girl! How am I supposed to pick?!?!
I didn’t think I could have more adorable pictures than the last photo shoot, and yet . . . here they are, better than ever! And then you set the slideshow to one of my favorite songs and I end up bawling all over and into my computer. Korey says we’ll just get one of everything.”

Thank you Korey and Roxy for making the trip from Paxton yet again! I thouroughly enjoy your children and I love the stories you tell me about August. He is quite a kid!
